Beautiful signed canvas by Round Top’s own John Lowery of Humble Donkey Studio.
20 x 25
Giclee on canvas
Several years ago, John Lowery purchased land in Burton, a small town located between Houston and Austin, and fell in love with his environment. A lifelong artist, John grew fascinated by the natural beauty of the area as he cleared dead brush to reveal immense oak trees on what had once been a dairy farm. With a heightened perspective and deep connection to his property and the surrounding countryside, John began to explore the scenery and some of its inhabitants more intimately through his painting. His original artwork, primarily acrylic on canvas, succinctly captures the impressions of what he sees from atop his tractor or pick up. Grassy fields, towering trees, proud longhorns – even a humble donkey – dominate the subject matter of John’s works. When he’s not painting or working his land, John can be found at his Humble Donkey Studio in Round Top. Be sure to drop by the studio when you’re in the area and visit with John. He loves talking about Round Top, Burton and his art, especially over a cold Lone Star LightTM, which he always keeps on hand for visitors.
